The Permanent Representative in his report characterized the main tendency of oppression of the freedom of association, assembly and movement in Crimea by the Russian occupying authorities and highlighted the part of non- governmental organizations and ombudsmen in Crimean residents Rights protection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/vystupy-postijnogo-predstavnyka-na-naradi-obsye\/41954970_338139530261169_4841988070418939904_n\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12968\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12968 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/41954970_338139530261169_4841988070418939904_n.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a>The prohibition of the Crimean Tatar People self-governmental system by the occupying authorities was pointed out, as well as the attempts of the Russian Federal Security Service to imitate \u201cthe elections to Kurultai\u201d as the religious body but not as All People\u2019s Congress. The attention was drawn to the arrest of the one-man pickets participants, organized to protest against the Crimean Tatars\u2019 discrimination; to the persecution of movement \u201cCrimean Solidarity\u201d and oppression, harassment and corruption of Russian enforcement bodies against the citizens of Ukraine at the administrative boundary line. The negative role of Russian ombudsman, her open and cynical politicized activity in Russian hostage-taking and restrictions on the rights of political detainees was pointed. A special attention was drawn to the Russian piracy in the Black and Azov Seas, threatening the Ukrainian fishers and sailor\u2019s rights. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Permanent Representative discussed with the range of the state-members OSCE delegations the challenges of the temporarily occupied Crimea and reported at the side-events, organized by the members of the Meeting on themes: \u201cProtection and promotion of Human Rights by the human rights defenders \u2013 the best practice for the sates, institutions and civil society\u201d, \u201cPersecution of journalists and hate speech in Crimea\u201d, \u201c Forced replacement of the citizens of the occupied territory of Crimea by Russia\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":29785,"template":"","publication-type":[43],"class_list":["post-29784","press-center","type-press-center","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","publication-type-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
