{"id":29821,"date":"2018-09-20T13:50:13","date_gmt":"2018-09-20T13:50:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/press-center\/harmonization-of-sanctioning-policy-of-ukraine-with-the-international-partners\/"},"modified":"2018-09-20T13:50:13","modified_gmt":"2018-09-20T13:50:13","slug":"harmonization-of-sanctioning-policy-of-ukraine-with-the-international-partners","status":"publish","type":"press-center","link":"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/en\/press-center\/harmonization-of-sanctioning-policy-of-ukraine-with-the-international-partners\/","title":{"rendered":"Harmonization of sanctioning policy of Ukraine with the international partners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 20 September 2018 the Head of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Yevhen Samuha and the Chief Consulatant Valeria Pakhomova took part in the round table<\/span><!--more--><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cRussian Aggression: Harmonization of Sanctioning Policy of Ukraine with the International Partners\u201d, organized by the Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Foreign Affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participants of the round table were the Head of the Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko, the Deputy Head of the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy Sergiy Vysotsky, the Head of the Committee on National Security and Defense Andriy Levus, the director of nongovernmental organization \u201cUkrainian Strategic Initiative and Defense\u201d Ashot Topchyan, the Head of the staff of the Nongovernmental organization \u201cFree People\u201d Dmytro Zhmailo, the members of the Committees and their Secretariats` officials, representatives of the central executive bodies, journalists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sanctioning policy gaps and the modalities to eliminate them was the core issue for discussion as well as issues of economic de-occupation of Ukraine and the current international sanctioning mechanisms to be implemented to speed up the process of de-occupation of the temporarily occupied territories. The need to harmonize the Ukrainian sanctioning policy together with the partner states of Ukraine was pointed out. The officials of the Mission stressed on the abolishment of the most of rules of the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn Creation of the Free Economic Zone \u201cCrimea\u201d and on Peculiarities of Exercising Economic Activity in the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine\u201d. The need for effective monitoring the sanctions implementation carried out by the Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine in accordance with the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn External Economic Activity\u201d was emphasized. In addition the officials of the Mission pointed out the current challenges in the implementation of the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn Sanctions\u201d and the possible ways of rectifying them.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":29822,"template":"","publication-type":[43],"class_list":["post-29821","press-center","type-press-center","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","publication-type-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
