On 7-8 November 2018 the International Conference \u201cThe Hybrid War Decade: Lessons Learned to Move Forward Successfully\u201d was held in the framework of the platform \u201cUkraine-NATO\u201d by Government\u00a0Office\u00a0for European and\u00a0Euro-Atlantic Integration and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine at the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine. Opening the conference, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in his speech noted that being at the cutting edge of the Russian hybrid war, Ukraine has a great deal of experience that can be shared with our partners. \u201cInformation attacks, attempts to destabilize the situation inside the country, energy blackmail, complete embargo and closure of markets, influence through religious organizations is not a complete Moscow\u2019s toolkit, which finally received the name of the hybrid war of Russia against Ukraine,\u201d said\u00a0 the President<\/p>\n
In the discussions concerning the political, military and informational dimensions of hybrid war, cyber-threats, activity of security services, the Ukrainian and foreign authorities as well as the experts of a world level highlighted the common approach to the security-related issues, in particular those on cooperation between Ukraine and European and Euro Atlantic partners.<\/p>\n
Among the speakers of the conference, were the Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy, the Vice Prime Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush Tsyntsdze, People\u2019s Deputies, the officials of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, of the Ministry of Defense, of the MFA of Ukraine, of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, of the Ministry of TOT and IDPs of Ukraine, of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Advisor\u00a0on National Security to the\u00a0Presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr Gorbulin, ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Marchuk, the\u00a0Assistant Secretary General<\/em>\u00a0for Emerging Security Challenges \u00a0Antonio Missiroli<\/em>, ex-President of Lithuania Valdis Zatlers,\u00a0Finland’s<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>first\u00a0Ambassador<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>for Hybrid Affairs, Mikko Kinnunen<\/em>\u00a0 , Director of NATO Strategic Communication Center in Riga Yanis Sarts and others.
