On 15 February 2019 the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Izet Gdanov held the interdepartmental meeting on combating the illicit economic activity, undertaken in the service area within the \u201cKalanchak\u201d check \u2013point in administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied territory of AR of Crimea.<\/p>\n

The participants of the meeting were the representatives of Azov-Black Sea Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Customs Office of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in Kherson region, Autonomous republic of Crimea, and Sevastopol City, the Main Directorate of Security Service of Ukraine in AR of Crime, the Main Directorate of National Policy ofUkraine in Kherson region, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson region, Kalanchak State District Administration in Kherson region and the Directorate of North \u2013Crimean Canal.<\/p>\n

Taking in account numerous appeals of the citizens to the Mission on illegal fund-raising by unknown persons via the illicit carriers after crossing them the check-point, during the meeting, it was proved the illegal economic activity in the service area within the \u201cKalanchak\u201d check \u2013point as well as in the territory of the Directorate of North \u2013Crimean Canal. The last one is purposed for maintenance of water management infrastructure and construction of any sites or premises there is prohibited by the national legislation (except for hydraulic, technical, navigational and lineal ones).<\/p>\n

The Mission recommended to the local state authorities to undertake an urgent measures and declare a tender for choosing a transporter from\/to the check-point \u201cKalanchak\u201d with the maintenance to be done by the public enterprise of Kalanchak joined territorial community. At the same time, the law enforcement bodies were recommended to intensify their investigations according to the \u00a0Unified State Registry of criminal proceedings regarding the above-mentioned fact.<\/p>\n
