From February 25 to March 4, The National Library of Ukraine named after Yaroslav the Wise (1 M. Hrushevskoho Street, Kyiv) is hosting a photo exhibition \u201c15 Stolen Lives\u201d dedicated to the victims of enforced disappearance in the occupied Crimea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The purpose of the exhibition is to remind Ukrainian society about the activists abducted in Crimea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition will feature 15 portraits and stories of those who have not yet been found alive or dead. These are Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar activists or relatives of one of them who are disloyal to the occupation authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition was organized by the non-governmental organization CrimeaSOS as part of an information campaign \u201cFind&Free\u201d, aimed at finding missing persons and releasing detained activists and residents of Crimea.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to CrimeaSOS, in Crimea, over the past seven years under the Russian occupation, 44 persons became victims of enforced disappearances. Later, 19 of them were found alive, three were found in places of detention, one was extradited, and six were found dead. The fate and whereabouts of 15 of them remain unknown.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
