He left behind his young wife and three children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reshat Ametov was\u00a0posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have established that the activist was abducted by two members of the illegal armed formation \u201cSelf-Defense of Crimea\u201d under the leadership of a former serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces. The criminal investigation into Ametov&#8217;s murder is still ongoing.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe opened the case of Reshat Ametov&#8217;s abduction last year and identified three people who abducted him. They were informed about the suspicion, put on the national wanted list, and there was an attempt to put them on the international wanted list\u201d, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said Igor Ponochovny, head of the Prosecutor&#8217;s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, during the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the same day, the Russian military took control of the Kerch radio and television broadcasting station.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The facilities of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Massandra and Gurzuf were also seized, and an anti-aircraft missile division of the Russian Armed Forces was stationed.
