On April 24, an online discussion \u201cThe Strategy for De-occupation of Crimea: the cultural issue\u201d was organized by the Crimean House. The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea took a direct part in the development of the Strategy for De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Tamila Tasheva took part in the discussion:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are returning not only the territory of Crimea, we are also returning people. These are two interrelated issues. That’s why it is important for us to keep the connections we have left and restore the lost ones. Over the past year and a half, positive changes have taken place, such as: the reconstruction of checkpoints on the administrative border with Crimea and implementation of the Strategy for De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol. Important cultural ties with artists living in the uncontrolled territory, the possibility of their inclusion in the cultural life of Ukraine. Many citizens from the occupied territories apply to existing cultural institutions: Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, Ukrainian Institute, Ukrainian Book Institute.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

It is also worth mentioning the project \u201cCrimean Figs\u201d initiated by Alim Aliev and continued by the Crimean House. And it is very important to support such initiatives\u201d<\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n

Issues of the indigenous people in Ukraine, support and development of the Crimean Tatar language, as well as various social services, whether banking or online services, cultural and humanitarian sphere, media – these are all issues of communication – concrete and effective measures should be developed to ensure that feedback from residents of the occupied territories is positive\u201d<\/em>, – Tamila Tasheva<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
