In the commemoration and the ceremony of raising the Crimean Tatar flag took part:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Anton Korynevych<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Volodymyr Bugrov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Darya Svyrydova<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; First Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Tamila Tasheva<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In May 1944, the Stalinist regime prepared and carried out a special operation of forced eviction of the indigenous people of the Crimea &#8211; the Crimean Tatars &#8211; by the NKVD-NKDB forces. During the eviction and in the first years after the deportation, almost half of the deportees &#8211; more than 238,500 people died.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anton Korynevych: \u201cToday we remember the victims of the terrible crime of the totalitarian system against the indigenous people \u2013 the Crimean Tatar People genocide. The deportation on May 18, 1944, deprived the entire nation of its home, its land. Today, as in 1944, the Crimean Tatar people are becoming the main object of repressions, systemic and mass violations of human rights, and persecution by the occupation administration of the Russian Federation.
