Witnesses and relatives of the activist reported that members of the so-called \u201cCrimean self-defense forces\u201d were involved in his disappearance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On May 24, 2016, another activist Ervin Ibragimov was abducted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to human rights organizations 44 people became victims of enforced disappearances during the temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Prosecutor&#8217;s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provides procedural guidance in 270 criminal proceedings on more than 400 cases of violation of the right to life and health, enforced disappearance, imprisonment, kidnapping, torture and inhuman treatment since the occupation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the vast majority of criminal proceedings, the pre-trial investigation established the involvement of representatives of the occupying state and its occupation administration in the commission of these crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, the relevant investigations by Ukrainian law enforcement are complicated by the lack of access to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
