{"id":32072,"date":"2021-07-07T09:04:47","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T09:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/press-center\/congratulations-on-the-adoption-of-the-resolution-by-the-osce-parliamentary-assembly-on-6-july-the-destabilizing-military-build-up-by-the-russian-federation-near-ukraine-in-the-temporarily-occupied-au\/"},"modified":"2021-07-07T09:04:47","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T09:04:47","slug":"congratulations-on-the-adoption-of-the-resolution-by-the-osce-parliamentary-assembly-on-6-july-the-destabilizing-military-build-up-by-the-russian-federation-near-ukraine-in-the-temporarily-occupied-au","status":"publish","type":"press-center","link":"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/en\/press-center\/congratulations-on-the-adoption-of-the-resolution-by-the-osce-parliamentary-assembly-on-6-july-the-destabilizing-military-build-up-by-the-russian-federation-near-ukraine-in-the-temporarily-occupied-au\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations on the adoption of the resolution by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on 6 July \u201cTHE DESTABILIZING MILITARY BUILD-UP BY THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION NEAR UKRAINE, IN THE TEMPORARILY OCCUPIED AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA AND THE CITY OF SEVASTOPOL, UKRAINE, THE BLACK SEA AND THE SEA OF AZOV\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this resolution, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly called on the Russian Federation:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strongly urges the Russian Federation to reverse the illegal occupation of Crimea, withdraw its troops, weapons, and military equipment stationed on the occupied peninsula without the host nation\u2019s consent, cease ongoing recruitment and conscription campaigns on the occupied peninsula, and, in this regard, stresses the urgency of immediate withdrawal of all additional troops, weapons, military equipment, and warships redeployed to Crimea and its territorial waters following the large-scale military exercises held by the Russian Federation in April 2021;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Urges the Russian Federation to fulfil its commitments under the Vienna Document 2011 in good faith, especially in view of the upcoming large-scale military exercise ZAPAD2021, and to act in line with Chapter III Risk Reduction Mechanisms of the Vienna Document 2011, invoked by Ukraine, by providing necessary measures of transparency on its military exercises held in April 2021;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Urges the Russian Federation to lift all restrictions to the freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov, and through the Kerch Strait, immediately denounce its decision to impose restrictions on some areas of the Black Sea, including the approaches to the Kerch Strait, in accordance with applicable international law, in particular provisions of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, the OSCE PA strongly supported all OSCE tools and processes, in particular the SMM, given that its mandate covers the entire territory of Ukraine, to closely monitor and provide regular reports on the security situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukraine, including on the unlawful military activities and conscription campaigns, and on the impediment of access to Ukrainian ports in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is another step in demonstrating international support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. We are grateful to everyone involved in this process and call on the Russian Federation to implement the resolution of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, in particular, to allow the Special Monitoring Mission entry into the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":32073,"template":"","publication-type":[43],"class_list":["post-32072","press-center","type-press-center","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","publication-type-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
