The prosecutor’s offices of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol served notices of suspicion on 96 people from the occupied peninsula who in one form or another cooperate with the occupying state. Among them are Russian officials from Crimea, judges, law enforcement officers, as well as entrepreneurs who have cooperated with Russia and provide their services within the framework of the Russian defense order. In the course of investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office takes into account the circumstances of the crime, the existence of intent, public danger and the extent of the damage caused. Prosecutors approach each case individually. Priority is given to those who voluntarily cooperate with the aggressor state, its occupation administration, law enforcement agencies, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prosecutor’s office reports that 48 indictments have already been submitted to the court. In total, since March 2022, when Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (” collaborative activity “) came into force, the law enforcement agencies of the autonomy have opened 184 criminal proceedings under this article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Russian propaganda continues to intimidate Crimeans that they will “imprison everyone”, and with the beginning of the full-scale invasion, this pressure is only increasing. But in fact, this is in no way true, as Ukraine is a democratic European country that does not have such a goal, unlike Russia,” the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mission has repeatedly stated that the criminal actions of the occupiers in Crimea must stop immediately, and all perpetrators must be held accountable for their crimes, which is impossible without the complete de-occupation of the Ukrainian peninsula!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
