As part of the implementation of the Strategy for the Cognitive De-occupation of Crimea, a project was launched to model various aspects of the cognitive de-occupation of the peninsula’s population.  On May 24th and 25th, 2024, the experts of the Council on Cognitive De-occupation of Crimea, which operates on the basis of the Mission, conducted the first phase of simulation training. Representatives from the public sector, educators, journalists, public figures, historians, psychologists, archaeologists, military personnel, and experts actively working on the topic of occupied Crimea participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a facilitated way, the group of experts developed existing visions and assumptions for predicting risks and identifying opportunities that can be used by the state, business, and civil society in implementing reintegration policies. Simulation modeling, as part of the first phase of the exercise, allowed participants to apply an inclusive, interdisciplinary, and multidimensional approach to planning and structuring the process of cognitive de-occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These developments within the framework of simulation modeling helped to formulate a list of relevant actions during the process of Crimea’s reintegration. The results of the experts’ work will be summarized and submitted to the Council on Cognitive De-occupation of Crimea to further strengthen the preparation and future implementation of the Strategy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
