The occupational \u201ccourt\u201d prolonged the illegal arrest of the Crimean Tatar activists Memet Liumanov, Rustem Osmanov, Aziz Azizov, and Mustafa Abduramanov to November 4, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Memet Liumanov, Rustem Osmanov, Aziz Azizov, and Mustafa Abduramanov are the Crimean Tatar activists who were regularly present at the \u201ccourt\u201d trials of Crimean Tatar political prisoners and helped the families of the Kremlin\u2019s captives. The Russian security forces detained the men after searching the houses of the activists and religious leaders in Bakhchysarai and the Dzhankoi region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The occupational \u201ccourt\u201d falsified accusations of allegedly \u201corganizing and participating in a terrorist organization\u201d against each of the detainees. During the arrest and choosing the \u201cpreventive\u201d measures, the human rights activists reported that the decision was made unreasonably, in violation of transparency and equality of the parties, as only the prosecution participated in the closed trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mission firmly condemns the illegal persecution and unlawful arrests of the Crimean Tatar activists and religious leaders who are subjected to increased pressure by the occupiers in occupied Crimea. We urge the international community, leaders and parliaments of foreign states, human rights activists, and journalists to exert more pressure on Russia and facilitate the soonest possible de-occupation of Crimea; these actions will help to stop the Russian occupiers\u2019 rampage with which they are challenging the entire democratic world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":60096,"template":"","publication-type":[43],"class_list":["post-60097","press-center","type-press-center","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","publication-type-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
