All five men are civic activists and fathers of numerous children, and Seitumerov recently had a newborn child. Abdulmejit is the brother of two political prisoners from Bakhchysarai, Osman and Seitumer Seitumerov, who were illegally detained in March 2020 and sentenced to 17 and 14 years in prison.
