During her imprisonment, she developed serious hearing problems\u2014 she has now completely lost hearing in her left ear. In addition, Iryna has suffered at least one mini-stroke and experiences constant dizziness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The occupation &#8220;court&#8221; of Crimea sentenced Nariman Derman to 3.6 years on fabricated charges of alleged participation in combat against Russia as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Invaders\u2019 crimes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 As of October 14, the occupiers have illegally imprisoned <strong>218<\/strong> people, including <strong>132<\/strong> Crimean Tatars. Of the total number, 43 are arrested (28 of them are Crimean Tatars), 151 are imprisoned (97 of them are Crimean Tatars), and 26 are without status (6 of them are Crimean Tatars).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u25b6<\/strong> There were <strong>979<\/strong> cases of filing of reports under Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation to the so-called &#8220;courts&#8221; on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea. In 875 of these cases, a decision was made to impose an administrative penalty in the form of a fine or to join the case to another case under another article and make a cumulative decision. In 17 cases, the consideration of materials is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Rustem Huhuryk, illegally sentenced by Russia to 8.5 years in prison, was placed in a punishment cell for 15 days in September on trumped-up charges. For a long time, he has not been receiving medical care, which has already led to a deterioration in his health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The occupation &#8220;court&#8221; in Crimea replaced the suspended sentence of two members of the Jehovah&#8217;s Witnesses religious organization, Yurii Herashchenko and Serhii Parfenovych, with 6 years in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Crimean Tatar activist and human rights defender Riza Izetov, illegally sentenced by Russia to 19 years in prison, was transferred to penal colony No. 1 of the Republic of Sakha, Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 A Russian court ruled that the administration of Prison No. 1 in Verkhneuralsk misinterpreted the terms of the illegal sentence against Crimean resident Shaban Umerov. He was supposed to spend a year in prison, after which he was to be transferred to a high-security colony with less stringent conditions. However, the Russian administration insisted that Umerov should remain in prison for more than a year. The Russian court confirmed that, according to the verdict, the political prisoner should spend no more than a year in prison, taking into account the time he had already spent in the pre-trial detention center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Forcible conscription:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u25b6 <\/strong>At least <strong>1250<\/strong> Russian army soldiers from units stationed in occupied Crimea were killed. <strong>777<\/strong> of them were probably Ukrainian citizens. The death toll may be higher, as Russia conceals its real losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u25b6 <\/strong>The capture of at least <strong>40<\/strong> Russian servicemen from the occupied Crimea has been confirmed, most of whom are likely to be Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Militarization of the Crimean Peninsula:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u25b6<\/strong>ATES activists continue to monitor Russia&#8217;s strategic facilities on the temporarily occupied peninsula. In particular, the agents reconnoitered the 17th Arsenal of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. High-security measures were found, including observation towers and patrols. The movement&#8217;s agents also recorded the movement of military gasoline trucks and the movement of fuel on the peninsula after the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the oil depot in Feodosiia, which led to a serious shortage of fuel for the occupiers&#8217; equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Propaganda of the occupation administrations and incitement to hostility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 On October 4, the occupation administration illegally closed and sealed a temple of the Crimean Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the village of\u00a0 K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck Bora\u0219, Kurmansk district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The occupation administration of Crimea continues to illegally confiscate land plots from Ukrainian citizens through controlled \u201ccourts,\u201d citing fabricated charges of allegedly violating the laws of the occupying country, and transfer them to the Russian armed forces involved in the war against Ukraine. This week, the list of &#8220;applicants&#8221; for Ukrainian land was expanded to include militants of the Wagner PMC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Representatives of the occupation administration held a propaganda seminar on the so-called \u201cprevention of the ideology of extremism and terrorism\u201d at the Tchaikovsky Music College in Simferopol, with the aim of perpetuating Russian imperialist and anti-Ukrainian narratives among Crimean youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 In 2023, the occupation administration authorized the illegal expropriation of property of Ukrainian citizens and the seizure of at least 10 plots of land in the Balaklava Bay of the peninsula by Russian oligarchs Arkady and Boris Rotenberg for illegal construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Due to the negligence of the occupiers, the energy crisis in Crimea is getting worse. \u00a0 In general, problems with electricity supply are observed in Simferopol, Saky, and Dzhankoi, as well as in the villages of Vyshneve, Bila Skelia, Yabluchne, Myronivka, Izumrudne and other settlements. This week, partial power outages were observed in Bilohirsk and seven villages of the district: Sultan-Sarai, Krynychne, Aleksieievka, Holovanivka, Krasnoselivka, Pcholyne and Karasivka. In total, more than 10 thousand residents remain without electricity, but the occupation administration continues to claim that the situation is under control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Civil resistance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u25b6 <\/strong>A resident of occupied Kerch spoke out in opposition to Russian aggression against Ukraine, hanging a Ukrainian flag on his balcony and playing the Ukrainian anthem. The occupation administration forces detained him and issued a report, sending the case to the occupation &#8220;court.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u25b6 <\/strong>A 26-year-old resident of occupied Yalta posted Ukrainian symbols on social media, expressed support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and shaved a Ukrainian trident on the back of his head. The occupation administration forces detained him, forced him to apologize on camera, and issued a report, sending the case to the occupation &#8220;court.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The occupation administration illegally detained a resident of Feodosiia on trumped-up charges for allegedly taking pictures of Russian Black Sea Fleet ships and passing their coordinates to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement continue to resist the Russian invaders in Crimea. They systematically destroy propaganda materials of the occupation administration, distribute Ukrainian symbols, and post leaflets calling for resistance in the settlements of the peninsula. In particular, the activists spread Ukrainian slogans through patriotic graffiti and inscriptions appearing on the walls of buildings, near propaganda posters, and in other public places. The movement also continues the Letters to Ukraine campaign, which conveys the thoughts and hopes of Ukrainians who remain under occupation. Despite the constant propaganda, our people remember their identity, resist Russian influence, and continue to fight for the liberation of the peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Activists of the Crimean Combat Seagulls movement continue to disclose personal information of collaborators and Russian war criminals operating in occupied Crimea. They publish not only addresses, contact numbers, and routes but also details of financial transactions, bank account information, and connections with the occupation administration and Russian law enforcement agencies. In particular, they provide evidence of their involvement in crimes against Ukraine and the residents of the peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6Activists of Zla Mavka spread patriotic graffiti, stickers, and leaflets calling for resistance to the occupation, covering Simferopol, Yalta, Yevpatoriia, Sevastopol, and other cities. They organize actions to destroy Russian propaganda materials, maintaining morale among residents and informing them about possible ways to de-occupy Crimea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mission continues to receive inquiries from Ukrainian citizens who want to leave Crimea because they cannot tolerate the occupation and total propaganda.
