Its purpose is to deliver a symbolic light from the birthplace of Jesus Christ to those in need, representing good deeds and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One way to support Crimean political prisoners and remind them that society and the authorities remember them is by writing a letter. Such letters also signal to prison administrations that the prisoner is under public attention, and any attempt to harm or deprive them of life will become widely known.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Representation, Russia is currently illegally detaining 218 Crimean political prisoners, including 132 Crimean Tatars.
