Approximately 4,000 tons of fuel oil spilled into the waters of the Black Sea as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Invaders\u2019 crimes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 As of December 16, the occupiers have illegally imprisoned <strong>218<\/strong> individuals, including <strong>132<\/strong> Crimean Tatars. Of these, 43 are under arrest (28 Crimean Tatars), 151 are imprisoned (97 Crimean Tatars), and 26 are held without status (6 Crimean Tatars).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 <strong>1,093<\/strong> cases were filed under Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation in so-called \u201ccourts\u201d in occupied Crimea. In 955 cases, administrative fines or combined rulings were issued. Proceedings continue in 42 cases.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The health condition of Vadym Bektemirov, who was unlawfully sentenced by Russia to 11 years in a high-security colony, is rapidly deteriorating. He suffers from persistent hypertensive crises and impaired vision, yet the prison administration denies him any medical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Appaz Kurtamet, unlawfully sentenced to seven years in prison, has been in the process of transfer to a new detention facility since December 7, 2024. In a letter to his relatives, he reported that he is currently in Pskov, Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 In a closed session, an occupation &#8220;court&#8221; unlawfully fined Bekir Mamutov, the editor-in-chief of the Crimean Tatar newspaper <em>Q\u0131r\u0131m,<\/em> 4,000 rubles on absurd charges of &#8220;misusing the freedom of information.&#8221; This marks the third administrative case against Mamutov in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 An occupation &#8220;court&#8221; sentenced a 48-year-old resident of Sevastopol to 13 years in a maximum-security colony on fabricated charges of allegedly sharing photographs and information about the locations of Russian occupation forces in Crimea with Ukraine&#8217;s Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Oleh Fedorov, unlawfully sentenced by Russia to 13 years in a maximum-security colony, has been forcibly transferred to Penal Colony No. 5 in Sarapul, Udmurt Republic, Russia, over 2,500 kilometers from Crimea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Visually impaired activist Oleksandr Sizikov, unlawfully sentenced to 17 years in a maximum-security colony, has been transferred from Detention Center No. 1 in occupied Simferopol to Krasnodar, Russia, with further relocation to one of Russia&#8217;s prisons<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Alim Sufianov and Seiran Khairedinov, defendants in the so-called &#8220;Fourth Bakhchysarai Group&#8221; of the &#8220;Crimean Muslims Case,&#8221; unlawfully sentenced to 12 years in a maximum-security colony, have been moved from Detention Center No. 3 in Novocherkassk, Russia, to an undisclosed location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Crimean Tatar Ernest Ibrahimov, sentenced by Russia to 13 years in a maximum-security colony, has been forcibly transferred to Penal Colony No. 5 in Novotroitsk, Orenburg Region, Russia, over 2,000 kilometers from Crimea. During his month-long transfer, he was unreachable. Additionally, a Russian court rejected his appeal against the sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Forcible conscription:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 At least <strong>1,460<\/strong> Russian soldiers from units based in occupied Crimea have been killed,<strong> 964<\/strong> of whom were likely Ukrainian citizens. The actual number of casualties is believed to be higher as Russia conceals actual losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 At least <strong>79<\/strong> servicemen from occupied Crimea, most likely Ukrainian citizens, have been confirmed as captured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Militarization of the Crimean Peninsula:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Agents of the ATESH resistance movement continue to document increased military activity by occupation forces in Crimea. In the Perekop district, large-scale fortifications by Russian troops have been observed, including numerous bunkers, observation posts, and wood supplies positioned every 15 meters along the canal. Additionally, in the Yevpatoriia district, agents identified 5N84A and Oborona-14 radar systems used for airspace monitoring. This week, graffiti and inscriptions calling for participation in the resistance movement were spotted in public transport stops and educational institutions across cities in Crimea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Russian occupation forces are further building up their presence in Crimea: three infantry fighting vehicles (BMPs) were observed moving in the Yevpatoriia-Saky direction, and six trucks carrying containers for S-300\/S-400 air defense systems were documented traveling from Kerch to Simferopol. Components of a pontoon bridge were also transported to the northern part of the peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 This week, occupation forces continued relocating naval vessels to evade strikes by Ukraine&#8217;s Armed Forces. A small anti-submarine ship, Albatros-M, was observed in transit. Meanwhile, near the docks of the 13th Ship Repair Plant of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, a large landing ship of Project 775 was anchored, with its superstructure covered by camouflage nets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Open sources have revealed that Russia is strengthening the defense of its primary oil depot for the Black Sea Fleet in Inkerman through extensive fortification efforts. Trenches for personnel, revetments for equipment, and anti-aircraft installations are being constructed, with some facilities concealed using camouflage nets. Following the destruction of the Feodosiia oil terminal by Ukraine&#8217;s Armed Forces, this depot has become the primary hub for supplying fuel to occupation forces in Crimea and the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Propaganda of the occupation administrations and incitement to hostility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The occupation administration continues to indoctrinate and promote propagandist, imperialist narratives among the youth of Crimea. Schools are hosting events where children are forced to listen to propaganda justifying Russian aggression and occupation. For instance, at Trudivska School in the Yevpatoria district, a ceremonial event was held in honor of Russia\u2019s so-called &#8220;Heroes of the Fatherland Day,&#8221; featuring representatives of the occupation administration who lectured children on alleged &#8220;Ukrainian crimes&#8221; and the &#8220;righteousness&#8221; of Russian aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Sixty-four employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, seized by Russian occupiers, are undergoing forced &#8220;retraining&#8221; at the so-called &#8220;Sevastopol State University.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 In 2025, the occupiers plan to unlawfully bring up to 50,000 children from Russian regions to the seized Artek Children&#8217;s Camp in Crimea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Civil Resistance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 A resident of Azovske village in Dzhankoi district, Ruslan Dzhapparov, expressed support for Ukraine\u2019s Armed Forces and the de-occupation of Crimea on social media while condemning the actions of the occupying army. Security forces detained him, forced him to apologize on camera, filed a protocol, and transferred his case to the so-called &#8220;court.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement persistently resist the Russian occupation of Crimea, demonstrating courage and steadfast loyalty to Ukraine. They urge local residents to join the nonviolent resistance using various protest methods, such as distributing Ukrainian symbols and leaflets with calls to resist, emphasizing that Crimea is part of Ukraine. Despite the constant threat of repression and persecution by the occupation administration, activists continue their underground struggle, destroying propagandist materials spreading Russian ideology. This week, they carried out a significant action, distributing stickers and ribbons in numerous areas of Simferopol, including Bittak Park, as well as near the White Cliff and other occupation-related sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Activists of the Crimean Combat Seagulls movement continue to expose collaborators and Russian war criminals in temporarily occupied Crimea, risking their lives and personal safety. They gather and disseminate critical information about their places of residence, travel routes, financial dealings, and connections with the occupation administration. Additionally, the activists organize clandestine protests, distribute leaflets featuring Ukrainian symbols, and reveal criminal schemes involving collaboration with the occupiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Activists of the Zla Mavka movement remain steadfast in their fight for freedom on the occupied peninsula, turning streets in towns and villages into hubs of resistance. Through patriotic graffiti, stickers, and leaflets, they undermine the illusion of the occupiers\u2019 control and reaffirm the unyielding Ukrainian spirit. Their efforts focus on combating Russian propaganda, which imposes a distorted reality, and on drawing attention to human rights violations in Crimea. Despite the risk of repression and arrests, these activists inspire their fellow citizens and demonstrate that the fight for freedom continues, standing as a symbol of resilience and hope for Crimea\u2019s imminent liberation from occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mission continues to receive inquiries from Ukrainian citizens who want to leave Crimea because they cannot tolerate the occupation and total propaganda.
