On December 17, a lecture featuring representatives from the Mission\/Office of the Crimea Platform was held at the University of Basel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the collaboration between the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a series of lectures were conducted throughout 2024 at various international universities. These lectures highlighted the topic of occupied Crimea from multiple perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland, the December 17 lecture at Universit\u00e4t Basel focused on Ukraine’s efforts to regain Crimea. The lecture was part of the course The Lost Island? History of Crimea Since the 18th Century<\/em>, taught by Professor Olena Palko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the lecture, Alim Aliiev, Deputy Director General of the Ukrainian Institute, Mariia Tomak, Head of the Crimea Platform Department 2021\u20132024, and Anna Sytnikova, Deputy Head of the Crimea Platform Department, discussed the efforts of the Ukrainian government to keep the issue of occupied Crimea at the forefront of the international agenda. They highlighted tools such as cultural diplomacy, the activities of the Mission\/Office of the Crimea Platform, and the human rights situation on the occupied peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the end of the session, students and speakers had the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss pressing questions related to the issue of occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":65200,"template":"","publication-type":[43],"class_list":["post-65203","press-center","type-press-center","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","publication-type-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
