On January 17, Acting Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Olha Kuryshko, participated in a strategic session on the development of communities and territories of Ukraine organized by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. The session focused on strategic planning for the frontline regions of Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv, as well as the post-de-occupation recovery of Crimea. This event marked the seventh and final session in the series titled “Regional Strategic Planning as an Effective Mechanism for Recovery, Development, and Coordination.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the session, Olha Kuryshko shared the progress made by the Mission, including the economic recovery strategy and the initial steps planned by the Ukrainian government following the de-occupation of Crimea. She highlighted key measures, such as restoring Ukrainian governance in Crimea, ensuring the establishment of a personnel reserve and training programs, and addressing issues related to documents obtained by Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her speech, Olha Kuryshko outlined the primary directions for Crimea\u2019s economic recovery after Ukraine regains control over the peninsula. These include the development of new infrastructure, the restoration and modernization of transport networks to integrate Crimea into contemporary European transportation systems, and the introduction of environmentally sustainable production. She also emphasized the importance of implementing the Strategy for Cognitive De-occupation of Crimea at the national level.
