Today, the Mission hosted a meeting with students from Novopecherska School. The visitors were welcomed by the Permanent Representative, Olha Kuryshko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the students learned about the Mission’s activities, particularly its key tasks aimed at protecting the rights of Ukrainian citizens under temporary occupation, countering Russian propaganda, and supporting Crimean residents who either remain on the peninsula or were forced to leave. Special attention was given to the work of the Crimea Platform as a key international forum for consolidating efforts toward Crimea\u2019s de-occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students showed great interest in the topic of Crimea, asking numerous questions that touched on both historical aspects and contemporary challenges. They were particularly curious about how Ukraine counters Russian propaganda, the key difficulties faced by Crimean residents under occupation, and how individuals can contribute to dispelling Russian myths. Special attention was given to the preservation and promotion of Crimean Tatar culture and the history of Indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key focus of the discussion was raising youth awareness about Crimea. The meeting explored ways to engage the younger generation in learning about the region\u2019s history and cultural heritage through educational projects, media campaigns, and interactive initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We appreciate Novopecherska School for an engaging discussion, active participation, and genuine interest in the topic of Crimea! Last year, the school launched a unique project, Holosni, aimed at studying and promoting the Crimean Tatar language by immersing participants in the diverse world of Crimea.
