On 16 June, the Permanent Representative took part in a special ceremony marking the release of a commemorative stamp dedicated to the centenary of the children’s camp Artek. The event took place at the Main Post Office building in Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am grateful to the leadership of Artek, to Ukrposhta, and to the children \u2014 for making it possible for us to be here today. This is my first time attending a stamp presentation ceremony, and I am proud that it begins with such a meaningful occasion,\u201d stated Olha Kuryshko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Permanent Representative congratulated the Artek team on the anniversary and emphasized the tremendous efforts made to preserve and develop the children\u2019s camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince 2014, the Artek camp in Kyiv region has welcomed 70,000 children. Currently, about 1,300 are attending the session. The team is doing everything possible to shield children from the realities of the war around them,\u201d added Camp Director General Serhii Kapustin.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Since 2022, Ukrposhta has devoted most of its stamp releases to wartime themes. The new Artek stamps, however, shift the focus to peaceful childhood memories. Designed by young artist Oryna Kamarali, the stamps capture the spirit of carefree childhood once embodied by Artek in Crimea, full of dreams, joy, and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
