At the same time, Russian statistics report a decrease in mortality rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 A large oil slick and dozens of dead birds covered in fuel oil were recorded near Yalta. The\u00a0Russian occupying authorities\u00a0deny the pollution despite satellite imagery data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The vessel ZAID, sailing under the Russian flag, transported 35,800 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat from the Avlita terminal in\u00a0temporarily\u00a0occupied Sevastopol to the Syrian port of Tartus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Invaders\u2019 crimes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 As of 2 February, the\u00a0Russian occupying authorities\u00a0have illegally imprisoned <strong>224<\/strong> individuals, including <strong>133<\/strong> Crimean Tatars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 As of 2 February 2026, 1,672 cases involving materials drawn up under Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative\u00a0Offences\u00a0of the Russian Federation were recorded as having been submitted to so-called courts in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and other &#8220;competent authorities&#8221;.<br>In 1,542 cases, decisions were issued imposing administrative penalties in the form of fines or merging the cases with other proceedings under different articles and issuing a combined ruling. In 17 cases, material consideration is ongoing. By gender, 816 decisions (53%) were issued against women and 724 (47%) against men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The health condition of Crimean Tatar political prisoner\u00a0Seitumer Seitumerov\u00a0has significantly deteriorated. This was reported by his wife, Pakyze Seitumerova, following a long visit with him. According to her, Seitumerov\u2019s teeth are crumbling, his eyesight has worsened, and he shows severe paleness of the skin, which may be the result of vitamin deficiency and lack of sunlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Crimean Tatar activist\u00a0Emil Ziyadinov, sentenced to 17 years\u2019 imprisonment and held for more than a year in a punishment cell, has been transferred to a strict detention unit at Penal Colony No. 5 in Russia\u2019s Arkhangelsk\u00a0Oblast. His wife reported that after his transfer in autumn 2024, Ziyadinov was repeatedly placed in punishment cells, including for performing religious rites, which the penal colony administration classified as alleged violations of the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Forcible Mobilisation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 At least <strong>2,646<\/strong> servicemen of the Russian Federation from units stationed in\u00a0temporarily occupied\u00a0Crimea have been killed. Of these, <strong>1,410<\/strong> are likely Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The capture of at least <strong>125<\/strong> Russian military personnel from\u00a0temporarily occupied\u00a0Crimea has been confirmed. Most are likely Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Militarisation of the Crimean Peninsula:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Activists of the\u00a0&#8220;Yellow Ribbon&#8221;\u00a0resistance movement carried out a new act of resistance in\u00a0temporarily\u00a0occupied Crimea. Symbols of Ukrainian resistance appeared simultaneously in three cities\u2014Simferopol, Sevastopol, and Alushta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Propaganda of the occupation administration and incitement to hostility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Propaganda media reported the launch of the seventh so-called humanitarian mission involving students from\u00a0temporarily occupied Crimea to Donbas. Students from the &#8220;V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University&#8221; and Simferopol colleges participated. They are to participate in &#8220;humanitarian&#8221; activities and the delivery of aid to Russian military personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mission continues to receive requests from Ukrainian citizens seeking to leave\u00a0temporarily occupied\u00a0Crimea due to the impossibility of enduring the occupation and total propaganda.
