Main news of the week:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 The General Staff of the AFU reported that on February 23, the military struck the location of a missile division of the 15th separate missile brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea. Also, on February 25, the military struck a launcher from the “S-400 Triumf” anti-aircraft missile system near the settlement of Sofiivka, as well as a combat vehicle of the “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft missile and gun complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 On February 24, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the AFU destroyed a “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft missile and gun complex and a “P-18” radar station in Crimea. On the same day, the “Madyar’s Birds” brigade also struck a “Malakhit” radar station near the settlement of Novofedorivka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invaders\u2019 crimes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 As of early February 2026, 284<\/strong> individuals are subject to judicial persecution in occupied Crimea, 159 <\/strong>of whom are Crimean Tatars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 As of February 11, 2026, 1,684<\/strong> cases have been documented for the filing of reports under Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation concerning the so-called discrediting of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. In 1,547 cases, decisions were made to impose fines or to consolidate cases with cumulative rulings. In 24 cases, proceedings are still ongoing. 53% of the rulings (819) involve women, while 47% (726) involve men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 The health of Crimean political prisoner Amet Suleimanov has deteriorated. After the temporary occupation of Crimea began, Amet covered the illegal activities of the Russian occupiers, including searches and detentions. In 2020, he was detained by Russian security forces. He was later released under house arrest as his health condition prevented him from being held in a pre-trial detention center. In 2023, he was detained again and, after some time, sent to a prison in the territory of the Russian Federation, where he remains. Now, in addition to serious heart problems and a hypertensive crisis he has suffered, he has been diagnosed with retinal angiopathy, which could lead to loss of vision if left untreated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 The Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol denied the lawsuit of the relatives of Serhii Hrishchenkov. In May 2025, he was abducted by FSB officers and accused of “high treason.” The family challenged the illegal imprisonment and the “prosecutor’s” inaction, but the occupation “court” refused to satisfy any of the claims and closed the proceedings, not allowing the applicants to file motions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 Yashar Muiedinov, who was sentenced to 13 years in a strict-regime colony in 2022, has been transferred to Russian correctional colony No. 9 in Omsk. The reasons for the transfer have not been explained. The Russians have subjected him to physical and psychological pressure. His overall health has deteriorated, particularly due to the lack of necessary medical care. The political prisoner suffers from toothaches and swollen legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forcible conscription:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 At least 2,777 <\/strong>military personnel from RF units stationed in Crimea have been killed. 1,478<\/strong> of them are likely Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 The capture of at least 125<\/strong> Russian military personnel from Crimea has been confirmed. The majority are likely Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Militarization of the Crimean Peninsula:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 Russians continue to militarize youth in Crimea. For example, in February, Ihor Boyko, an “advisor to the director of the Crimean Research Institute of Unmanned Technologies,” reported that 47 students had completed training and received UAV operator qualifications. According to the so-called advisor, the students first trained online and then practiced their skills “in the field.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 On February 24, an event was held in Sevastopol aimed at “motivating” young people to join the ranks of the Russian armed forces. About a thousand students participated. At the event, they practiced first aid skills, engaged in laser weapon shooting, and were taught to disassemble and assemble a “Kalashnikov” rifle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 The “Krymskyi Veter” monitoring group has recorded that in the waters of the Sevastopol Bay, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is using passive electronic warfare measures to cover its ships, which are used to simulate false targets for missiles. However, such measures are largely ineffective against modern missile systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Propaganda of the occupying administrations and incitement to hostility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 In the Simferopol Technical College, an “alley of glory” was opened for participants of the so-called special military operation. The institution installed memorial plaques for four service members aged 19 to 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6 In Sevastopol, the Russian occupiers held a strategic session “Navigators of Childhood: Strength in Unity,” which outlined methods for educating schoolchildren within the framework of the “Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia” declared in the RF, including the popularization of the Russian language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
