{"id":85970,"date":"2026-03-30T17:09:59","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T14:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/?post_type=press-center&#038;p=85970"},"modified":"2026-03-31T12:16:33","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T09:16:33","slug":"update-on-the-situation-in-the-temporarily-occupied-territory-of-the-autonomous-republic-of-crimea-and-the-city-of-sevastopol-as-of-march-30-2026","status":"publish","type":"press-center","link":"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/en\/press-center\/update-on-the-situation-in-the-temporarily-occupied-territory-of-the-autonomous-republic-of-crimea-and-the-city-of-sevastopol-as-of-march-30-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Update on the Situation in the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol as of March 30, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Main news of the week:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 On March 24, personnel from the Uncrewed Systems Department of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (GUR MO) destroyed &#8220;Zircon&#8221; hypersonic missile systems and &#8220;Bastion&#8221; systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Furthermore, on the night of March 27, the Defence Forces of Ukraine hit the &#8220;Valdai&#8221; radar complex near the settlement of Gvardiiske. On the same day, the Special Operations Forces of the AFU struck a base for maritime uncrewed surface vessel (USV) operators in Sevastopol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Invaders\u2019 crimes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 As of March 11, 2026, 286 individuals are subject to political persecution on the territory of occupied Crimea, 159 of whom are Crimean Tatars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 As of March 23, 2026, <strong>1,715<\/strong> cases under Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the RF regarding the so-called discrediting of the armed forces of the Russian Federation have been recorded in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea. In <strong>1,577<\/strong> cases, decisions were made to impose fines or combine cases with aggregate decisions. In <strong>24<\/strong> cases, the proceedings are still ongoing. Women account for 53% (837) of the rulings, while men account for 47% (738).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The so-called Kyivskyi District Court of Simferopol rejected political prisoner Akhmetkhan Abdulvapov\u2019s lawsuit challenging his illegal transfer to the Irkutsk region of the RF after serving his sentence. The man was convicted on suspicion in the &#8220;Hizb ut-Tahrir&#8221; case and later moved to a penal colony located 5,500 kilometres from Crimea, making it virtually impossible to maintain contact with his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Server Mustafayev, sentenced by the occupiers to 14 years of imprisonment, has been moved to a cell-type premise (PKT) in penal colony No. 1 in Tambov. Since February 2024, he has been held in a barrack with strict conditions, leading to health issues: psoriasis, headaches, and vision impairment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Oleksandr Sizikov\u2019s health has deteriorated. The blind activist was detained following searches by the occupiers in 2022. In 2023, he was sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment in a fabricated case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The health of Crimean activist Asan Akhmetov has also worsened; he suffers from dental problems, impaired vision, and back and joint pain. He is currently held in penal colony No. 5 in the Arkhangelsk region of the RF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 The health of another political prisoner, Server Zekiriaiev, sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment in a fabricated case, has reached a critical state. He has experienced tongue numbness and is coughing up blood. According to his relatives, he has been held in harsh conditions for a long time, including punishment cells (SHIZO) and cell-type premises. Despite repeated requests for medical assistance, he has not received proper treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Political prisoner Eskender Abdulganiiev was placed in a punishment cell (SHIZO) twice after returning to penal colony No. 41 in the Russian city of Yurga. After being transferred from a colony in Kemerovo, the man was initially held in a transit cell without proper sleeping conditions and later placed in SHIZO for 15 days without explanation. The occupiers detained Eskender in 2019 after searches, accusing him of involvement in the &#8220;Hizb ut-Tahrir&#8221; organization and sentencing him to 12 years of imprisonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Forcible conscription:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 At least <strong>2,991<\/strong> Russian servicemen from units stationed in Crimea have died. <strong>1,547<\/strong> of them were likely Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 At least <strong>125<\/strong> Russian soldiers from Crimea have been confirmed as captured. Most are likely citizens of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Propaganda of the occupation administrations and incitement to hostility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Activists of the &#8220;Yellow Ribbon&#8221; movement reported that pro-Russian Telegram channels are running an information campaign to popularize the Russian messenger &#8220;MAX.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Additionally, the occupiers continue to systematically shape a &#8220;correct&#8221; historical memory of World War II among the youth in Crimea. For example, the occupiers conduct so-called patriotic actions, such as &#8220;Victory Landing.&#8221; As part of this action, students and schoolchildren are involved in maintaining monuments related to World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcccThe Mission continues to receive inquiries from Ukrainian citizens who want to leave Crimea because they cannot tolerate the occupation and total propaganda.
