The event is being held in Strasbourg from April 1 to 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the framework of the discussion, participants focused on a key issue of post-war life \u2014 restoring the functioning of state power and local self-government after the de-occupation of the temporarily occupied territories, including Crimea.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/58458_18-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85993\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.4992888417882142;width:678px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/58458_18-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/58458_18-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ppu.gov.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/58458_18-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her speech, Olha Kuryshko emphasized that the restoration process must include launching reforms that were stalled due to the temporary occupation, as well as rebooting state authorities while considering the specifics of their formation. She noted that this process must be based on rebuilding trust, ensuring the rule of law, and justice, as these factors are vital for the resilience of Ukrainian democracy after the territories are de-occupied. The participants also discussed already developed legislative initiatives concerning the reboot of the management system in the temporarily occupied territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Olha Kuryshko specifically highlighted that the Mission has already developed the primary steps to restore local authorities after the de-occupation of Crimea.
