On 15 July, the OSCE published the Ninth Interim Report on reported violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law in Ukraine during the Russian war of aggression, prepared by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Particular attention in the report is given to the Russian Federation\u2019s war crimes in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ODIHR experts highlight the ongoing campaigns of unlawful conscription and forced mobilization of Ukrainian citizens, including young people, in the temporarily occupied territories for participation in the war against Ukraine. They also noted the systematic suppression of freedom of expression, including the persecution of individuals for their anti-war opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report further confirms the continuing trend of intensified military-patriotic indoctrination of children, including a significant increase in the number of cadet classes and the organization of so-called patriotic activities in children\u2019s health and recreation camps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among recommendations, outlined in the Ninth Interim Report of the OSCE ODIHR, are calls on Russian Federation to immediately stop subjecting civilians in occupied territories, including Crimean Tatars, to prosecution for peacefully expressing their views and opinions; halt the incommunicado detention and\/or enforced disappearances of individuals and immediately provide information on the whereabouts of detainees to their families and legal representatives; cease the forcible transfer or deportation of Ukrainian civilians to the Russian Federation and third countries; stop imposing Russian military-patriotic education for school-aged children in the occupied territories and cease pressuring or coercing parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
