Yesterday, at the foot of Ak’Kai (White Rock) in the Belogorsk district, the occupiers detained three representatives of the indigenous people of the Crimean Tatars – the reason for the illegal detention and subsequent fine was the national Crimean Tatar flags on the cars.
According to the Crimean Solidarity, the occupation forces stopped 73-year-old Rustem Kurnosov and 65-year-old Enver Useinov, as well as Ebabil Ibrahimov, who was filming the occupiers’ actions. The Crimean Tatars were traveling in several cars with their national flags to make a traditional ascent with banners to the White Rock, but they were stopped by the occupation “police”.
There were no calls or slogans, just an annual trip to Aki Kai on the occasion of the Crimean Tatar Flag Day – but the occupiers regarded it as a massive, allegedly illegal public event, for which the occupation court fined Rustem Kurnosov and Enver Useinov 20 thousand rubles each.
That same evening, at the foot of Ak’K’ai, unknown persons unfurled a Russian flag. The activists asked the occupiers whether these people had filed a “notice of a public event”, but received no response.
