Crimes of occupation
- As of July 3, it is known that the occupiers have illegally imprisoned 180 Ukrainian citizens in Crimea. 117 of them are representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. Out of the total number of political prisoners, 24 are arrested, 138 are imprisoned, and 18 are without status.
- According to the Crimean Solidarity, the occupation FSB has completed the so-called “investigation” and brought illegal charges against Osman Abdurazakov, Leman Zekeryayev, Khalil Mambetov, Refat Seidametov, Ekrem Kroshev and Ayder Asanov – in July, the occupiers will deport them from the detention center in Crimea to Rostov-on-Don.
- The occupation court of Crimea has changed the illegal sentence of civilian journalist Irina Danilovich, who was sentenced to 7 years on charges of allegedly “possessing explosives” – the term of her “punishment” was reduced by one month. The political prisoner is to be transferred to Russia in the near future, and her health condition requires immediate medical attention.
Militarization of the Crimean peninsula
- Residents of the occupied Crimea continue to record the activity of Russian fighter jets firing missiles towards the mainland of Ukraine on a daily basis. Missiles are also reported to be fired from the Black Sea in the same directions.
- Russian tourists climbed one of the mountains in Sevastopol to look for the abandoned Object 100, found it, took pictures and posted them in a chat room. Two military vehicles, probably air defense systems, were captured in the footage.
- The occupiers said they were allegedly repairing the road from Melitopol to the Dzhankoy checkpoint: 200 kilometers of the road will run through the territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, more than 400 people and about 220 pieces of equipment are involved, and the work is round-the-clock.
- According to open sources, fuel and lubricant warehouses caught fire near Tokarevo and Shubino. The occupation media deny this information, claiming that “in fact, a municipal waste landfill in Kirovsky district was on fire, and the fire was caused by dry branches near the landfill’s borders.”
- A carrier from the occupied Crimea that provides bus service from Simferopol, Dzhankoy and Yalta to Genichesk cannot transport passengers until at least June 30. The occupiers said that the service was suspended “for the period of emergency response”, but did not say what kind of emergency it was.
- The occupiers have set up a pontoon ferry near the damaged Chongar Bridge, which connects the temporarily occupied Crimea with the mainland of Ukraine. The crossing is used exclusively for military purposes. There is a lot of equipment on the way.
- The occupiers in Crimea have begun to set up sobering-up centers: these “special institutions” will appear in Alushta, Yevpatoria, Kerch, Simferopol, Feodosia, and Yalta.
- According to the National Resistance Center, the occupiers are using the seized civilian port infrastructure to deliver military cargo: at least one rail ferry a day has been unloaded at the Kerch seaport since the beginning of June, including covered wagons and tanks, and equipment.
Forced mobilization
- As of July 3, at least 419 soldiers of the Russian army have already been buried in the occupied Crimea. 296 of them were probably Ukrainian citizens. The number of burials may be higher, as many of them take place without coverage.
- According to information from open sources, the occupation military commissar of Simferopol requires the chief doctors of local hospitals to provide lists of citizens born in 1996-2005 who are registered as “D”. The category of fitness for military service “D” is the lowest, so changes are likely to be planned in the next wave of mobilization to the Russian army.
- According to the NGO “Free Crimea”, graduates of Crimean universities are summoned to the “management of the institutions” before receiving their diplomas for mandatory receipt of calls (under the signature of receipt) to military commissariats.

Publications of the occupation media
- A selection of this week’s narratives: “Ukraine needs success in the counteroffensive before the NATO summit”, “Control over the quality of drinking and sea water has been strengthened in Crimea”, “Consequences of the Wagner rebellion”, “Ukraine is preparing a terrorist attack on the ZNPP”, etc.
Public sentiment
- A resident of the Leninsky district complains that her son is being bullied at school for supporting the “special operation”, namely for his status in the Zacheburashim military group. According to her, an inspector came to talk to the schoolchildren, she appealed to the school principal, the district education department, the DPN and the “Ministry of Education”. There have been no changes, so she plans to appeal to Aksyonov.
- Vacations in the occupied Crimea have fallen to record lows: last month the average price per night in hotels on the peninsula was 20.5% lower than in May last year. - Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement held a secret meeting at the top of the Chatyr-Dag-Eklizi-Burun massif, where they drew Ukrainian flags and yellow ribbons.
