
Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva met with Foreign Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Zdeněk Beranek and Head of the Department for Interparliamentary Relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky.
The meeting was attended by Maria Tomak, Head of the Crimean Platform’s Support Service, Demian Podolsky, Head of the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Department of the Interparliamentary Relations Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Jan Hudoba, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine.
The meeting discussed the organizational and technical aspects of the preparation of the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform, which is scheduled to take place in late October 2023 in Prague. The parties emphasized the importance of including human rights protection and plans for the reintegration of the Crimean peninsula in the summit program, as well as deepening the cultural component of the planned event.
The Permanent Representative also asked Mr. Zdenek Beranek to raise at his level the issue of the possibility of establishing an inter-factional group “Crimean Platform” in the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
