The Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva delivered a welcoming speech at the International Forum of the Crimean Platform Expert Network “Vision of the Future: Expert View”.
Ms. Tasheva was joined by the Head of the Crimean Human Rights Group Olga Skrypnyk, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova and Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to PACE Maria Mezentseva.
The Permanent Representative told the audience about the history of the opening of the National Office of the Crimean Platform by the Decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in 2021, immediately after the Inaugural Summit of the Crimean Platform.
Ms. Tasheva also shared with the audience the information about the work of the Mission on the reintegration of the Crimean peninsula after its liberation, emphasizing that all processes and policies will depend on how the de-occupation will take place: whether it will be large-scale destruction left by the occupiers during their departure or a “gesture of goodwill” that Ukrainians have already seen in Kherson.
“We understand that we need to prepare plans for the reintegration of the Crimean peninsula as the first steps of the state after regaining control over Crimea. And here I sincerely thank the expert community and individual organizations that have been actively involved in the development of these priority steps. We focused on a number of issues: restoration of public authorities, expulsion of Russian citizens who illegally entered the territory of the occupied Crimea, verification of documents and court decisions, property issues, as well as issues of responsibility for crimes, amnesty and lustration. These are all very important issues raised by our citizens,” said the Permanent Representative.
Ms. Tasheva informed that Ukraine is already forming a personnel reserve for the de-occupied peninsula and told about the possibility to submit your application on the NAUCS website and join the reserve of civil servants before the liberation of Crimea.
