During the working visit to Vilnius ( the Republic of Lithuania) on April 16-17, Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva held several meetings with Lithuanian media and representatives of analytical centers.  

Today, the Permanent Representative was interviewed by Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT), which is the largest public broadcasting media group in Lithuania. She also provided comments for the Ukrainian edition of LRT. During the interview, the participants discussed the situation in the occupied Crimea in the context of the full-scale invasion, the resistance of Ukrainian citizens to the Russian violent regime, as well as the state’s reintegration policy towards the occupied Crimea.   

Tamila Tasheva also met with representatives of Lithuanian analytical centers, in particular, the Director of the European Right Institute Teodoras Žukas and analysts of the Eastern European Studies Center Adam Roževič and Simona Merkinaitė. During the meeting, the main areas of work of the European Right Institute were presented. The participants also discussed the current situation in the occupied Crimea. The Permanent Representative spoke about Russia’s criminal actions related to the militarization of the peninsula, increasing pressure and persecution of the Crimean Tatar people. At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed possible joint measures to impact the situation on the occupied peninsula and outlined potential areas of cooperated work.
