The information and art exhibition Unseen Force about the non-violent resistance of Ukrainians in the occupied territories will open in the Ukrainian House. The exhibition is co-organized by the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Office of the Crimea Platform. It is symbolic that it will begin on May 18, the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crimean Tatar Genocide, as part of the 80th anniversary of the deportation. The exhibition will run until June 2.

At the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about contemporary movements of non-violent resistance of Ukrainians in the occupied territories and witness their expression in various forms of art. The purpose of the exhibition is to show the power of our people, who prove that Ukraine is not a story of passivity, uncertainty and indifference, but of the resilience of the population under direct threat from the Russian occupier.
The project will include expositions from the exhibition LOMYKAMIN’. Women’s Resistance in Crimea, which was held at the Mission, including diaries of the Zla Mavka activists, works by artists Maria Kulikovska, Alevtina Kakhidze, Liia Dostlieva, Yulia Po, Emine Ziyatdinova. The exhibition will also feature sections dedicated to resistance movements, including the Yellow Ribbon; the labyrinth called “Pretend” with posters by Crimean artist Antik Danov; Ukraïner’s video from the De-occupation project; cardboard caricatures of the leaders of the so-called “LPR/DPR” by Serhii Zakharov, which stood on the streets of Donetsk in 2014; Maksym Palenko’s viral memes; an interactive VR section by the museum network and the Territory of Terror Memorial Museum; a poetry installation by PEN Ukraine; video stories about wounded cultural sites in Trostianets and Okhtyrka; works by artists Diana Berg, Yulia Danylevska, Yana Holubiatnykova, and Alyona Maliarenko; and the wall of solidarity called “Leave Your Support for the Resistance”.
