From June 21 to 23, 2024, the twentieth international Kraina Mrii ethno-festival will be held on the territory of the M.M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. As part of the festival, we invite you to visit the Crimean Stage: Bağçasaray! The Crimean Stage has traditionally been a part of the Krayina Mriyi festival and was presented long before the occupation of Crimea, so it is symbolic that the guests of the 20th anniversary festival will be able to plunge into the colorful cultural atmosphere of the Crimean peninsula again.
The Crimean stage will feature performances by Crimean artists and bands in various musical genres: Ismail Kurt-Umer, Tania Sha, and Shopping Hour GRP, Chayir, Ruslan Bolatov, and Aliie Khadzhabadinova , and the Usein Bekirov Quintet.
In addition, you can attend various master classes, and try your hand at traditional Crimean Tatar dances or the national wrestling called “kuresh”. As part of the Crimean Stage, the youngest guests of the festival will be able to visit a Children’s Lawn with activities for kids.
In addition, during the three days of the festival, you will be offered several thematic panel discussions, an exhibition with stories about the military personnel from Crimea who stood up to defend our country, as well as the exhibition Stories from Occupied Crimea.
The festival will feature a fair of traditional and craft handicrafts, poetry, and prose readings by the authors of the Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar literary project Qırım İnciri, Crimean Tatar dishes, and much more.
Also, everyone will be able to join the collection for the military from Crimea and participate in the auction, the proceeds of which will be donated to the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
