The health of 60-year-old Crimean Tatar political prisoner Ruslan Nahaiev is in critical condition. Ruslan, suffering from severe kidney pain, has been transferred to a correctional colony in Russia’s Arkhangelsk region and is awaiting hospitalization in Arkhangelsk city hospital.
Since Monday, the Crimean Tatar political prisoner has not made contact. Nahaiev has been diagnosed with severe kidney inflammation and an exacerbation of urolithiasis. As of August 12, it was reported that he requested medical assistance, but was ignored by Russian authorities.
According to his lawyer, a doctor visited the prison but did not attend the Crimean Tatar. Earlier, the prisoner’s wife reported that he suffers from high blood pressure and kidney pain.
Ruslan Nahaiev was engaged in business activities in Alushta. In June 2019, the occupiers detained him on fabricated charges of alleged “participation in terrorist activities” and sentenced him to 13 years in prison.
