On May 29, the Mission hosted a working meeting between its team and Stefan Ingvarsson, analyst at the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS). The meeting was attended by Serhii Skrypnyk, Head of the Mission’s Analytical and Strategic Planning Department; Anna Sytnykova, Deputy Head of the Crimea Platform; and Tetiana Nepomiashcha, Chief Consultant of the Department.

During the meeting, Stefan Ingvarsson spoke about the work of the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies, which supports Ukraine and monitors the situation in the occupied territories. He emphasized the challenges of maintaining consistent coverage of the war in the information space and the importance of telling the truth about the occupation, despite the lack of physical access to these areas.

The participants discussed the issue of human rights violations in Crimea, including forced passportization and policies toward national minorities and Indigenous peoples. Special attention was given to the topic of repression.

The participants discussed the role of cultural diplomacy in international communication on the topic of Crimea, particularly through conferences, lectures, and academic projects.
