“Due to so-called “nationalization” and further “privatization” of the State Concern National Production Agricultural Association Massandra in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Russian Federation once again violated the international law according to which expropriation of property by occupying state in the temporarily occupied territory is prohibited. Any expropriation of the Ukrainian property by occupying administration in the Crimean Peninsula is not recognized by Ukraine and is considered a crime.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has begun criminal procedures on illegal nationalization and further “privatization” of the concern “Massandra” by the occupying authorities. Each person, involved into the illegal capture of property of the National Production Agricultural Association Massandra will incur liability, including criminal one.

In addition, the Mission in close interaction with the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine and others agencies will take necessary measures to apply sanctions against relevant persons, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea Anton Korynevych, commented on the “selling” of the National Production Agricultural Association Massandra.
