On July 19, the Mission’s employees took part in a practical course on improving language and communication competence in public administration, where they not only learned about the key changes in the new edition of the Ukrainian spelling, but also learned how to apply them correctly in their daily work through practical exercises.
Raisa Lenda, an expert on language and communication activities in public administration, PhD in philology, associate professor and author of more than 70 scientific studies on modern language communication and influence rhetoric, introduced the new spelling standards to the Mission’s employees.
During the event, the expert emphasized the importance of raising the level of language and communication culture, verbal and non-verbal interaction, as well as the correct use of strategic communication tools.
Ms. Larysa spoke about the main changes in the Ukrainian spelling in 2019, namely: the correct declension of surnames, the use of spelling endings for nouns in the vocative case, the formation of feminine nouns, etc.
An important part of the meeting was practical exercises, during which the Mission’s employees were able to test their knowledge and assess their overall level of proficiency in the state language.
The Mission expresses its gratitude for the opportunity to attend the Ukrainian language course for civil servants and emphasizes the expediency of such measures aimed at improving the level of language culture and the correct application of communication mechanisms in public administration.
