And on that day, five years ago, Russian Federation treacherously and without declaring war, in violating of all norms of international law, interstate agreements and key rules of mutual coexistence of civilized nations, using the tragic events of Euromaidan, began the occupation of Crimean peninsula.
Five years of Crimean occupation are the five years of violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of the citizens, restriction of freedom of thought and opinion, mass repressions against the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar Peoples, persecution of independent media, activists and human rights defenders, elimination of national cultural heritage of Ukraine by the representatives of the Russian authorities in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in AR of Crimea.
Today, just like five years ago in 2014, the world has come together to support Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity. On 24 March 2014 UN General Assembly adopted the Resolution, which recognized Crimea and Sevastopol City as integral parts of Ukraine
Most countries of the world condemn the criminal actions of Russia in Crimea, support the territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state and its requirements that Russia will respect for the rules of international law.
And the day is sure to come when the last Russian occupier will leave the territory.
