The QIRIM İÇÜN / FOR CRIMEA art project is a journey into the complex, multilayered history of the Crimean Tatars, one of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine, full of struggles, victories, and losses. It was created to draw parallels between contemporary events and those that preceded the deportation of Crimean Tatars from the Crimean peninsula in 1944.
The exhibition features works by artist, author of paintings, objects, and installations Anton Logov; Crimean Tatar artists; Crimean Tatar ceramist Rustem Skybin; paintings by Sadykh Adzhy-Selim – the only documentary visual works created during the deportation; deportation diaries Butterflies of Paradise based on real stories of deportation survivors; an installation dedicated to the current Russian-Ukrainian war.
The tour is free. Photography and videography will be conducted during the tour.
We cordially invite you to visit the exhibition.
