In April, 22 within the framework of the state events devoted to the commemoration of the important historic page of the Ukrainian Revolution 1917-1921, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin, the officials of the Missuion`s Departments on Re-integration and De-occupation and Legal Analysis took part in celebrations held in the Chongar village, in opening of the Memorial Board in Novooleksiivka village of Henichesk district to mark the 100th Anniversary of liberation the Crimea from Russian Bolshevik invaders by the Ukrainian troops.
The commemoration of the above –mentioned historic event in the territories adjacent to the temporarily occupied Crimea was promoted by the Ukrainian Institute of the National Remembrance, the Mission of the President of Ukraine in ARC, People’s Deputies of Ukraine, Kherson State Administration volunteers and activists, Henichesk Military Commissariat and Chongar Village Council, military units and subdivisions of State Border Service, the officials of “Ukrzaliznytsa”, volunteers and activists.
At celebrations, held in the House of Culture of Chongar village, Borys Babin in his speech remembered those who lost their lives defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine that time; he recalled that Chongar was the symbolic site in the history of liberation the Crimea from the Russian Bolsheviks, where the enemy was attacked 100 years ago and stressed that Crimea would be liberated from the modern Russian occupiers. After the amateur concert the militaries organized the dinner, prepared in the field kitchen for the inhabitants and guests. Within the celebration the memorial board, devoted to the 100th anniversary of Crimea liberation by the troops of Ukrainian People’s Republic was ceremonially opened by the representatives of the local self-government, military units, Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People, volunteers and activists at the railway station “Novooleksiivka” of “Ukrzaliznytsa”.
The participants of the event were the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Hanna Hopko, the Head of the Department of the National and Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Mykola Lyachovych, historian, publicist, an expert on Crimean humanitarian studies Sergiy Gromenko, the Doctor of Law of Ukrainian Free University Mykola Kravchuk, the moderator of the movement “Space of Freedom” Taras Shamaida, the officials of the Ukrainian Institute of the National Remembrance, the members of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People Abmedgit Suleimanov and Gulnara Bekirova, the Head and members of the local Mejlises of Crimean Tatars, the representatives of the local governmental bodies and publicity.
