On 5 March 2019 the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Izet Hdanov held the interdepartmental meeting on combating the illicit economic activity, carried out in the service area of the “Kalanchak” check point on the administrative boundary line  with the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea.

The participants of the meeting were the representatives of Azov-Black Sea Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, , the Main Directorate of Security Service of Ukraine in AR of Crime, the Main Directorate of National Policy of Ukraine in Kherson region, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson region, Kalanchak State District Administration in Kherson region and the Directorate of North –Crimean Canal.

The Mission represented its proposals, elaborated since February 15 2019 as well as considered the positions of the stakeholders to agree the further steps of cooperation and collaboration on this issue.

Following the meeting, a week’s time was set for the actors concerned to take a final decision  regarding the procedure of cessation of the illegal economic activity in the service area of the “Kalanchak” check point.
