On the 09th day of March, 2017 Ukraine celebrates the 203rd anniversary of the birth of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko and commemorates the awakener of national spirit, whose name has become a symbol of the country.

The phenomenon of Shevchenko is hard to overestimate. His figure is a spiritual source that has been cherishing Ukrainian people for many centuries and serves as a guide, strengthens faith and gives strength to fight for freedom and independence of Ukraine.

Like to nobody else among the sons of Ukraine, to Shevchenko there have been erected over eight hundred monuments on all continents, and his works have been translated into one hundred forty languages of the world.

Immortality of the Great Kobzar lies in relevance and significance of his words for the present days. The unity and consolidation of the Ukrainian society towards the highest value will certainly lead Ukraine to becoming independent, strong and sovereign and territorially integrated European country.
