Eleven years ago, the Artek children’s camp in occupied Crimea fell into the hands of the invaders.
A place once meant for rest and recreation was turned into a space where children are taught that Ukraine is the enemy.
Instead of holidays — military drills, the Yunarmiia youth movement, and slogans of the “Russian world.”
It is here that Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories are kidnapped.
Without parental consent. Without a choice. With a clear goal: to break their identity.
And the world is responding.
- In 2023, the United States imposed sanctions on the Artek International Children’s Center for its role in the deportation of Ukrainian children.
- In 2025, Canada joined these efforts.
- On 10 June 2025, the President of Ukraine imposed sanctions on Artek’s leadership, its ideologues, and the affiliated movements and organizations.
This is a signal: childhood must not be a tool of propaganda.
We will reclaim:
- the land
- the people
- childhood — free from ideology and fear
Artek today is more than just a camp. It is evidence of a systematic crime.
Share the truth. It makes a difference.
