Draft Conception for the national transitional justice as “road map” to overcome the consequences of the conflict and armed aggression will be made public in the near future, Darya Svyrydova, the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea said
During the briefing, held at the Presidential Office, she noted that strategic goals of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea included among the others the development of the national concept for transitional justice as a way from overcoming the consequences of the armed conflict to transition to peace.
According to her, the Mission performs these tasks particularly within the Commission on Legal Reform, created by the President. Two officials of the Mission are the members of the Group on reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories under the Commission.
“Today we have concept as national model of transitional justice, developed by a great number of experts with the involving of human rights and civic organizations, which initiated such work five years ago together with the Office of Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, including other authorities. Today such “a road map”, actually a draft of this “road map” has been prepared and is under the consideration of the Commission and in the near future it will be available to public and experts”, Darya Svyrydova said.
