The procedure and conditions of granting a state targeted support to certain categories of people to obtain vocational and higher education, approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 975 d.d. November 23rd, 2016, provide a full payment for education from the general fund of the state or local budgets, and granting of privileged long-term loans for education in accordance with the procedure established by law.
The citizens of Ukraine, who were forced to move from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city Sevastopol in mainland Ukraine while studying in the state or municipal vocational or higher educational establishments, can use a state targeted support for education.
To receive a state targeted support the persons shall submit an application, in no particular format, in the name of the head of the corresponding educational institution personally, having indicated the specific types of state targeted support to which a person claimed. The application shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the certificate of registration of the internally displaced persons.
In addition, the internally displaced persons are provided with free textbooks and access to the Internet, database systems in state and municipal educational establishments.
Also, the Resolution of the Government has solved an issue of residence of the internally displaced persons. In particular, students of vocational schools live in the student dormitories free of charge. The living conditions in the dormitories provide benefits for the students – at least 50 per cents of a limit amount of payment for accommodation.
