The Prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea informed about the suspicion to the former First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on the fact of illegal alienation of corporate apartment in Simferopol under Article 364 (abuse of office) and Article 366 (forgery in office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During the investigation of the criminal proceedings, it was established that in early March 2014, when the Russian Federation exercised effective control over the territory of the occupied peninsula, the suspect, taking advantage of these circumstances and holding this position, understood that the Mission is not an authorized body of privatization and cannot independently dispose of the property. Despite this, he illegally issued a certificate of ownership of an apartment in Simferopol, Crimea. Subsequently, the state property was illegally appropriated in favor of another person, which caused losses to the state in the amount of 509,478 UAH.
The case is currently pending.
