On 10 December 2019 in Brussels the 7th meeting brought together the higher officials of the European External Action Service, European Commission and Ukrainian delegation, headed by the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea Anton Korynevych.
The European Union and Ukraine discussed the consequences of the illegal attempted annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The agenda also included panel discussions on security, human rights situation in the peninsula, including restrictive measures. The interlocutors agreed to continue further cooperation at the international level.
The European Union reaffirmed non-recognition of the illegal attempted annexation of the Crimean peninsula by Russia and reiterated its unwavering support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
The Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea Anton Korynevych noted: “During the business trip to Brussel in addition to consultations with the European External Action Service and European Commission, the Ukrainian delegation met with the Ambassador Zoltan Taubner, the Head of the Council of Europe Liaison Office with the EU. We commended Mr. Ambassador for his support and told him about the situation in Crimea. In conclusion, we discussed a mutual way forward within Crimean dimension”.
