On 26 June 2019 the international forum “United by the Flag  #LIBIRATECRIMEA” has been held in the conference hall of the Kyiv State Administration on the occasion of the Day of the Crimean Tartar Flag. The even has brought together the People’s Deputies of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, foreign diplomats, the members of Mejlis of Crimean Tartar People, officials of the Mission, social actors and activists of international movement #LIBIRATECRIMEA from all over the world. The Crimean Tartar Resource Center and Mejlis of Crimean Tartar People were involved in arrangements of the event with the support of the Kyiv State Administration.

The interlocutors summarized the results of the action “United by the Flag  #LIBIRATECRIMEA” in which the national flag of Crimean Tartar People has went around the world throughout nine months until the Day of the Crimean Tartar Flag it has been returned in Kyiv.

Refat Chubarov, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, the head of Mejlis of Crimean Tartar People commended the activists, telling the international community about Crimean Tartar People and challenges they faced during the occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. He also stressed that Ukraine needed such joint events to unite people from all over the world and to keep the issue of Crimea on the agenda.
