The Mission of the President of Ukraine in ARC supports the abolishing of the Law of Ukraine. “On Creation of the Free Economic Zone “Crimea” and on Peculiarities of Exercising Economic Activity in the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine”. If this law is abolished there will not any grounds for the custom to be located along the administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied Crimea”.
“But there is another question: if we withdraw the custom from the administrative boundary line who will control the movement of people, traffic, goods and cargo across the ABL? Our proposal is to deploy a special unit of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine “Fantom” because it as an administrative boundary line but not a state border of Ukraine”, explained Gdanov.
In October 2018 the Mission submitted a draft Law “On abolishment of the Law of Ukraine On Creation of the Free Economic Zone “Crimea” for the consideration of the President of Ukraine by proposing to remain unchanged the rules which meet the national interests and needs to protect the human rights. These rules are suggested to be left within the Law of Ukraine “On ensuring civil rights and freedoms of the citizens and the legal regime in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine”.
This is exactly what the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine Izet Gdanov told to the “Crimea. Realities” reporter.
