In August 30, 2018 the pressed issues of broadcasting by the domestic television and radio companies from the mainland of Ukraine to the temporarily occupied Crimea ant the southern part of Kherson region as well as the technical measures of counteraction to the Russian informational propaganda broadcasting from the peninsula and other territories, adjacent to it, were discussed at the working meeting of the Head of the Department of International Connections Yevhen Samuha with the member of National Council of Television and Radio broadcasting of Ukraine Sergiy Kostynskiy.
Sergiy Kostynskiy pointed out that the administrative boundary zone had been equipped with a new technical means, including the television and radio tower and other wireless means of broadcasting, particularly the tower established in Chongar village. At the same time, the number of Ukrainian radio stations and television channels licensed to broadcast to Crimea increased, stressed S. Kostynskiy.
Yevhen Samuha draw attention to the importance of identifying of all the officials of the occupying authorities of Crimea, particularly the local and Russian institutions, involved in the illegal usage of radio – frequency spectrum of Ukraine, establishment of TV and radio towers for Russian propaganda to be spread in the peninsula in order to bring them to justice and impose sanctions against them by involving the State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine to prevent Russian propaganda. The discussion resulted in common activities, specified among the Mission and National Council to monitor the implementation of planned actions of the State domestic policy regarding the broadcasting spread to the temporarily occupied Crimea.
